David paled physically in comparison to the huge stature of Goliath. Not only that, but he had a formidable army behind him as well. I called this painting perspective not only because it makes the hand of David and his sling look like it could crush Goliath, but also to emphasize how instrumental anyone can be with God behind them. On a side note, I used Michelangelo’s statue “David” as a basis for the hand.
