I had been trying to paint something to visually represent “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” This is ultimately what I came up with. I had to do a little bit of research to find out what the oil lamps looked like in Biblical days and any details are hidden in the shadows. His word is the light, not the flame.
