My original concept for this painting was to show rough waters all around and calm water only under Jesus’ arm. I decided to go with a more focused portrayal though and show just His forearm and it’s shadow and reflection over a calm and dark water. Jesus calmed the seas with the mere outreach of his arms and the power of his voice. If you want peace, if you want Jesus to calm the storms in your life, cast your burdens and cares on Him.
