Corona means crown, and a global pandemic has caused the vast majority of people to wear masks to prevent virus spread.

Matte black and white imagery in this painting reveals Jesus pulling a mask off of His face, and gloss red paint emphasizes the crown of thorns that Jesus bore as He was mocked and beaten and His nail scarred hand from His death on the cross.  

There are many accounts of Jesus healing the lame, sick, demon possessed people during His ministry.  Jesus even brought people back from death.  Jesus also heals today – even in the midst of a global pandemic.

By Jesus’ wounds, we are healed.  His blood shed on Calvary is just a powerful today as it was 2000 years ago.  As Christians, we must be wise in these uncertain times, protect ourselves and others, and continually have faith when faced with the unseen and the unknown.
