Paul and Silas were beaten and imprisoned in Acts 16. They spent their time in the inner cell praising God with songs and prayer. Even when their chains were shook loose and the door opened, they stayed in their cell and praised Him. The guard doesn’t kill himself because of their trust in the Lord. The guard even receives salvation because of these events!
