In Matthew chapter 4, verse 19, Jesus says, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Years ago, I was introduced to Gyotaku (an ancient Japanese fish printing art that actually involves spreading ink or dye onto an actual fish and pressing it on a piece of paper). This painting is meant to mimic that technique. At first glance, you can see the imprint of a fish, while, hidden in the details, is an ancient fishing vessel.
