“Furnace” was and still is the painting that took the longest to complete. I tried a new technique and it was far from perfected at the time. I wanted to only use 2 colors (or really one – darker and lighter) to show Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego engulfed in the flames of the furnace described in the third chapter of Daniel.
