There are several powerful messages and imagery in the book of Revelation. The sixth chapter speaks of a white horse and rider, a red horse and rider, a black horse and rider, and a pale horse and rider. Each of the riders has a weapon–bow, sword, scale, and plague. This passage describes the end times in metaphor and describes the time of the antichrist’s conquest when the earth lacks peace and suffers from conflict, starvation, and disease.
