Jesus died on the cross for us and He is the one and only way to Heaven for all of us. Prayers are ended “in Jesus name” because Jesus is the Intercessor between us and God. This was painted to show both Jesus’ profile looking up to His Father and Jesus looking directly at you with shadows on the left side of His face.
