I haven’t always wanted to paint flowers, but I have respect for artists who do. Roses in particulate have a complex petal system that isn’t ideal for my style of painting.
My 4 year old daughter was painting along with me one day and she wanted to paint a sun, sky, and grass, but I limited her to yellow, orange, and pink paint. After she was finished, I took some time and painted the muted blue layer to portray a single rose.
A cross is integrated into the center of the petal system as well.
