In preparation for a larger piece, this painting was completed using a new technique that involved an intricate, custom stencil that i hand painted and cut.  Only one shade of blue was used, but I varied the thickness of the paint in different stages.  Although it visually distinct from my other works, “Son” focuses on the sacrifice Jesus made right before and on the cross just like a few other BiblePaintings – only with more emphasis on Jesus’ emotion when looking up to His father.
