Rahab helped the spies Joshua sent to the city of Jericho. The king of Jericho would have killed the spies if it weren’t for Rahab. She feared the Lord and risked her life for Him and His purpose. The red cord in the painting is how the spies escaped from her house in the city wall. God spared not only her life, but the lives of her family as well. The story of Rahab can be found in Joshua Chapter 2.
